You're not lazy, you just lack a plan.

Working from home as a freelancer used to be difficult.

In this e-mail I will outline how I destroyed all procrastination and boosted my productivity.

Set goals the night before

I used to wake up and not know what to work on.

I hated it.

Because I wanted to be productive but I didn't know where to focus all my energy.

The night before - write your to-do list in priority order.

It will give you purpose the next morning.

Generate a routine

No blue light after 10pm

Sleep by 23:30pm

Wake up at 7:30am

Work through until 12:30 fasted.

Eat my first high protein meal at 13:00.

Go to the gym at 14:00.

You don't have to follow this.

Just set a routine and stick to it.

Productivity 101.

Get a designated workspace

You cannot work from your bed with your laptop.

It's not possible for productivity to be at all all time high.

Get out of bed.

Dress like you're going to work.

Now you're in work mode.

Have a set space where you work.

It's huge for mentality.

Set time management constraints

If you're someone that feels their focus levels drop off:

Use the pomodoro technique to skyrocket your focus.

This technique involves working in focused bursts, typically 25 minutes, followed by a short break.

This will prevent burnout.

Practice self care

Nothing is important without your health.

Get enough sleep, exercise regularly, and maintain a healthy high protein diet.

When you're energy levels are high throughout the day you will avoid procrastination.

A hack to boost productivity.

Know when it's time to switch off

Look, I struggle with this a lot.

When you're working - work.

When you're relaxing - relax.

For me I always feel guilty for not working.

I need to overcome this quickly.

Don't try and do both at the same time.

There's no point.

Take action on these tips and you’ll have no issues with procrastinating from what you should be doing anymore.
